These are two children, aged seven and four, who died horribly when their parents drowned them in a tub of ice water. TLAXCALA, Tlax, January 31, 2020 – Two children under the age of seven and four were drowned by their parents in an icy water tank in the city of Potosí, Bolivia. This double infanticide happened this Friday morning, January 31st, at the home indicated in Pizarro Street, in the Upper Zone of Potosi, Bolivia.
According to reports from the authorities, the two children were submerged at approximately 6:30 a.m. in a dairy farm with cold water, until they drowned. The accused of this double crime would be the parents, therefore, the authorities detained the mother, a 24 year old Chuquisaqueña, while the father is a fugitive from the law and is wanted by the agents of the Department of Analysis and Intelligence (DACI) of the Potosi police.
So far, the motive for this horrendous crime is unknown, and there is only the record that the woman was constantly quarreling and fighting with the father of the two little ones, to whom she would be married.
The police determined that she would have used surgical gloves for this purpose. They were found in the trash can wet, the clothes she was wearing were wet at the height of the sleeves.
The children were allegedly killed on the half past tenth of the night before she left the house. The mother’s boyfriend said that she was very nervous, also declared that she treated the children very badly, all these acts made suppose that she was the author of the double infanticide that shocked the Potosina population. The authorities will continue with the investigation of this horrendous event.
